Awards

Recipient of a Creative New Zealand writing mentorship in 2013, administered through the New Zealand Society of Authors, for development of the junior fiction book The Dragon Ate my Homework.

Designed A Nest of Singing Birds: A Hundred Years of the School Journal, winner in the Reference/Anthology section in the 2008 Montana Book Awards. A Nest of Singing Birds won a gold medal in the 2008 Pride in Print Awards, and was a finalist in the Nielsen Bookdata NZ Booksellers Choice Award.

Designed and created branding for The New Zealand Curriculum, published by Learning Media on behalf of the Ministry of Education. This won a gold medal in the Pride in Print awards, 2008.

Designed the cover for one of the centenary edition NZ School Journals 2007. The collection won a gold medal in the Pride in Print awards, 2008.

Finalist in the The Death of Film art competition run by Format Publishing, 2004.

Finalist in the Aim book awards, for illustrating The One That Got Away, picture book category, 1992.
